Top Ten VaultWare Powered Apartment Search Websites in First Quarter 2010

April 22, 2010, Scottsdale, AZ -- Realty DataTrust, makers of VaultWare™, the multifamily industry's original online apartment availability and reservation system, today released their quarterly list of the top ten most popular apartment search websites powered by VaultWare during the first quarter of 2010.

VaultWare integrates with over 170 websites in the United States to provide rental prospects the ability to find current rental pricing and availability, as well as to hold a specific unit and pre-qualify instantly online. Research shows that checking availability is typically the first step in the rental process after viewing general information about the property.

A property advertising on these top ten Internet Listing Services throughout the first quarter of 2010 would have had 965 prospective renters check the property's current availability – up from 889 prospective renters in Q4 2009.

The growing significance of non-traditional apartment search sites is evident in the Q1 rankings. Google Maps made the top ten list for the first time at the 10th ranked position, joining another non-traditional apartment search site, Craigslist. Craigslist continues its ascent to the top of the rankings after making its initial appearance at the number 6 position in Q3 of 2009. For the month of March, Craigslist had the highest availability searches per property of any VaultWare powered website.
