VaultWare Reservation System Enhanced to Improve Customer Experience

Enhancements to reservation process increases conversions, reduces lost opportunities

The VaultWare Reservation System has been updated to improve your customer’s experience when a specific floorplan has limited or no availability. These enhancements to the reservation process will:

Reduce lost opportunities when availability is limited
  • Provide a more intuitive availability interface that further reduces the number of clicks it takes to find an available apartment that fits the renter’s needs.
  • Streamline the Availability Alerts sign up process.
  • Raise the sense of urgency to take action immediately and reserve an apartment before
    someone else does.
  • Reduce lost sales opportunities when a floorplan is unavailable and increase the likelihood that an interested renter will reserve a comparable apartment from you, and not your competitor!

Unlike rudimentary reservation systems, VaultWare proactively monitors your property’s current availability and alters the reservation process to increase the likelihood that an interested renter will reserve an apartment. Rather than turn away a potential customer when a particular floorplan is lacking available inventory, VaultWare gives you the option to offer a self-service automated waitlist option to your customers so lost sales opportunities are minimized.

Similar usability improvements have also been made to the VaultWare Mobile Reservation System including a newly designed interface for apartment shoppers using tablet devices. Contact us today to learn more about the VaultWare Apartment Reservation System.

Mobile Apartment Reservation System Now Optimized for Tablets

Provide an Ideal Shopping Experience to Apartment Hunters Using Tablet Devices

As adoption of mobile tablet devices like Apple’s iPad continues at unprecedented rates – with no signs of slowing – the user experience that you provide your prospective residents must adapt to ensure their researching and buying process can progress unhindered. To guarantee an ideal apartment shopping experience, regardless of device type or size, it’s imperative that your website distinguishes between desktop, mobile and tablet devices and serves an appropriate and functional user interface.

Tablet Optimized Apartment Reservation System from VaultWare

Property managers utilizing the VaultWare Mobile Reservation System will now automatically deliver an optimal user experience to apartment hunters using mobile tablet devices. The new tablet reservation system maintains the tap-friendly interface that VaultWare’s Mobile Reservation System provides, while taking advantage of the larger screen sizes found in tablet devices to present your property’s currently available apartment inventory in a clean and easy-to-use manner that encourages conversion of site visitors into
highly-qualified reservations for specific apartments.

And if your property also uses VaultWare Mobile Websites, your mobile website is now optimized for tablet devices! Contact VaultWare today for a demo of the VaultWare Mobile Apartment Marketing System with tablet device compatibility.

VaultWare Mobile Websites Expands Your Mobile Reach to Tablet Users

Showcase Your Property to Shoppers Using Tablet Devices

VaultWare’s Mobile Website solution today began delivering a uniquely optimized property website experience to renters searching for an apartment on a tablet device like Apple’s iPad, Motorola’s Xoom or any of the Android-based tablets. Previously property managers had to choose between serving tablet users the desktop or mobile version of their mobile website.

VaultWare's Mobile Websites Optimized for Tablet Devices

"We found that neither the desktop nor the mobile version delivered an ideal online apartment hunting experience to tablet users,” said Mike Cornell, President of VaultWare. “Desktop versions often utilize Flash elements that are incompatible with the iPad and even if a desktop site is designed for a tablet device’s similar screen size, content may have looked smaller and unreadable on tablets. Alternately, choosing to display the property’s mobile optimized website meant limiting the user’s experience
even though more screen real estate was available."

Now with VaultWare’s Mobile Websites optimized for tablet, properties can ensure their current and potential residents receive the best experience, regardless of whether the user is on a desktop, mobile or tablet device! Contact us today to get started delivering an ideal apartment shopping experience to your website users no matter when, where or how they find you!

VaultWare Market Comps to Include Nearly 40,000 Apartment Communities with Addition of ForRent.com Data

For Rent Media Solutions becomes data provider to apartment industry’s premier weekly rental rate reporting and trending tool.

Scottsdale, AZ,  September 9, 2011 -- VaultWare and For Rent Media Solutions, a leading industry provider of apartment searches nationwide and operator of ForRent.com, today announced an agreement to integrate rental rate data from ForRent.com property listings into the VaultWare Market Comps tool. The inclusion of ForRent.com data with the existing data providers Rent.com and VaultWare increases the comprehensiveness of the multifamily industry’s source for up-to-date apartment rent and trending data by more than 35%. The combined data sources enable competitive rents to be available weekly for nearly 40,000 apartment communities.

VaultWare Market Comps is a convenient research tool for property managers that eliminates the time-consuming practice of calling around for competitor’s current rental rates and assists with revenue management efforts by validating pricing against a customized competitive market, more immediate identification of market trends and variations to competitors and improved timeliness and accuracy of competitive data. Premium features are also available to provide more detailed reporting options, historical data and alert capabilities.

Property managers can receive value-added benefits, such as free levels of access or complimentary reports, just for being an active customer of VaultWare, Rent.com and/or ForRent.com.

"A majority of the apartment industry prices rental rates manually so this tool gives managers a great way of benchmarking their rents against their peer group automatically," said Mike Mueller, CEO of VaultWare. "With rents rising in almost every market, quarterly or even monthly surveys can’t keep up in a changing environment.”

Terry Slattery, President of For Rent Media Solutions commented, "By contributing our data weekly we enable our advertising customers to maximize their gross rental income potential over the course of the year because they can move faster than their competitors. As revenue management tools become more commonplace in our industry we’re excited to help pioneer this service for all of our owners and managers.

VaultWare Launches Apartment Comp Survey Tool

Competitive Rent Data Automatically Updated Weekly for 25,000+ Apartments

April 8, 2011, Scottsdale, AZ – VaultWare, a leading provider of Internet marketing and leasing solutions for the apartment industry, today announced the launch of VaultWare Market Comps, a convenient research tool that simplifies the collection and analysis of a property’s local competitive market data. Market Comps is a free value-added service that is powered by Rent.com and VaultWare property data and can be accessed from the VaultWare Control Panel or the Rent.com Manager’s Console.

VaultWare Market Comps eliminates the time-consuming and error-prone practice of property staff calling numerous competitive properties to obtain their current rental rates. With automatic, weekly data updates, properties can now easily see accurate competitive pricing and quickly be aware of rent changes for different apartment types in their defined competitive market.

Market Comps does the work for the properties and ensures they are aware of changes to their market conditions as they happen rather than reacting to a trend that happened weeks or months ago.”

VaultWare Market Comps features include:

  • Dynamic graphs for visual representation of trends and property comparisons
  • Aggregate and individual competitor views
  • Detailed comp report generation and export to Excel capabilities
  • Customizable alerts to be notified of competitive market rent changes

VaultWare and Rent.com customers can take advantage of VaultWare Market Comps Premium features free of charge until August 1, 2011. For more information or assistance with accessing VaultWare Market Comps, properties can contact VaultWare at support@vaultware.com or (480) 905-3670 option 2.

VaultWare Delivers Results for Wesley Apartments/Euramex Management

Jamin Harkness with Wesley Apartments/Euramex Management uses the VaultWare Apartment Reservation System and our Mobile Website solution to drive high-quality reservations for specific apartments to his leasing team. Jamin recently shared with us the outstanding results he is getting from VaultWare:

VaultWare Delivers Results!
We have 16 communities / 6300 units and growing, and are closing 60% of our VaultWare powered leads! Last month alone we averaged 32.9 reservations per property, and 32.5% of them prequalified online – without even visiting our property.
We’re also seeing a large increase in traffic to our VaultWare Mobile Websites, and last month had 34 VaultWare requests to hold specific apartment units come from smartphone users.
VaultWare delivers qualified leads directly to my Leasing Team– and you can be sure I’m keeping my team accountable by keeping an eye on their response time to these leads, courtesy of VaultWare’s lead tracking reports.
Ten years back, we began using (and still use today) call tracking systems to quantify our ad leads and from which source they originate. Today, as we see calls decline and internet activity flourish, we needed a way to quantify true leads. The tracking system that VaultWare provides allows me to quantify the efficacy of my online advertising via Reservations.  We even push these Reservations into our management software and count them as Guest Cards.  I believe a Reservation from VaultWare is better than a phone call and a pre-screened Reservation is equal if not better than a walk-in prospect. This fantastic solution (or button provided by VaultWare) for “Reserving” an apartment gives me the ability to quantify our ILS’s and our own SEM success.
Jamin Harkness
Vice President, Wesley Apartments/Euramex Management

Congratulations Jamin and Wesley Apartments on your amazing results and thank you for letting VaultWare be a part of your success.

Want results like these? Contact us today for a demo. And, if you’re already using VaultWare to power your online marketing success, be sure to check out the VaultWare Market Index to benchmark your own VaultWare results.

To add video to your website, open the VaultWare Control Panel, click on “Content Manager”, then click on the “Images” tab and select "Video".

Get descriptive: Floorplans can now include marketing text

Floorplan names can get pretty creative, but rarely do they help paint a useful picture of the floorplan to your prospective residents. Now you can add descriptive marketing text to each floorplan to be displayed on your VaultWare property website, mobile website or when prospects are viewing your available apartments. Add descriptive text to your floorplans in the VaultWare Content Manager on the “Floorplans” tab.

February 8, 2011, Scottsdale, AZ -- Apartment marketing and leasing software provider VaultWare™ today released its quarterly list of the top ten most popular apartment search websites powered by the VaultWare online apartment availability and reservation system during the fourth quarter of 2010. The list highlights the top performing apartment Internet Listing Services based on the number of renters that check specific apartment availability, indicating a higher level of interest in the property.

The VaultWare apartment reservation system integrates with over 170 websites in the United States to provide rental prospects the ability to find current rental pricing and availability, as well as to hold a specific unit and prequalify instantly online. On average, over one million people per month used VaultWare to check availability in 2010.

VaultWare availability searches per property diminished during the months of October through December, reflecting the typical seasonal trend in multifamily leasing. VaultWare Launches Free Property Website Program for the Apartment Industry

February 1, 2011, Scottsdale, AZ -– Apartment marketing and leasing solution provider VaultWare today officially launched VaultWare Places, a new program that will allow every apartment community in the United States to have a dedicated website at no cost. Property managers and owners can use the self-service site to quickly and easily create a professionally designed website in three simple steps. No technical knowledge is needed to build a VaultWare Places website. Users can customize their favorite design, enter their content and have a fully-functional, high-quality property website in a matter of minutes.

Since 2003, VaultWare has been a consistent multifamily industry innovator. Services that have shaped the industry include the first and most popular online apartment reservation system, the first mobile leasing solution and the first iPad apartment leasing tool. VaultWare is once again changing the way apartments are marketed and leased with the first and only, free apartment website platform.

“Apartment communities are needlessly spending hundreds of dollars per month for a property website and many of those sites don’t even work for today’s smartphone and iPad users,” said Mike Cornell, President of VaultWare. “A VaultWare Places website provides a free, search-engine friendly site that can plug-in numerous powerful leasing features for a fraction of what the property manager is currently spending on their website alone.”

VaultWare Places provides limitless design combinations by offering various layout options and a selection of pre-defined and customizable color palettes to compliment the property’s branding. An easy-to-use content management system designed specifically for apartment communities ensures all critical information is included in the website such as photo galleries, floor plan details, pricing and social media links. Property managers have the ability to use their existing property website address (domain name) and can even set up Google Analytics to track visitors to their VaultWare Places site.

The open platform architecture of VaultWare Places allows for the seamless integration with VaultWare’s suite of online marketing and leasing solutions, as well as third-party service providers such as RentPayment’s online rent payments or the online rental application from Blue Moon, the exclusive distributor of the official lease forms of the National Apartment Association.

Multifamily property managers and owners can visit the self-service website now at www.VaultWarePlaces.com to quickly and easily create their free, professional property website.
